About Xplore CrossFit
Xplore CrossFit started with the idea of bringing elite fitness to downtown Seattle. Applying the training principles of CrossFit we bring something new and intense to the downtown gym environment. We do kettle bell swings, barbell cleans, pull ups, box jumps and rowing in a myriad of variations always focusing on form, functionality, and ever increasing intensity. CrossFitting can be done anywhere with nothing but body weight. Groups make it more fun bringing an element of competition and camaraderie to the workouts. All of the workouts can be scaled so that anyone can play. We work with the tools on hand in the space provided to forge a higher level of fitness to all who dare to contend.

CrossFit Essentials
CrossFit is a unique training regimen developed to help any achieve their highest level of personal performance. Whether you are a competitive athlete or a computer programmer CrossFit can help you achieve higher levels of physical fitness than you have every achieved before. CrossFit combines elements of gymnastics, Olympic and power lifts, sprinting, interval training, kettle bells and medicine balls in varied, functional, and intense workouts.CrossFit workouts are varied.
CrossFit workouts will challenge more components of fitness than you are probably used to. We believe in a ten component fitness model as apposed to the general three applied by most training programs. Along with strength, muscular endurance, and aerobic endurance, CrossFit trains for balance, accuracy, agility, coordination, power, speed, and flexibility. We frown on routine and specialization. All of out participants are train for rounded fitness.
Who is it for?
It is for Hazel, 78 years old who has been doing CrossFit for years to stay agile enough to continue to live unassisted. It is for Alex, Special Forces marine who needs to be strong enough and fast enough to attack and survive an attack. It is for Ben, an amateur athlete seeking to add power and performance in his sport. It is for Suzanne, a wife and grandmother who wants to wear her skinny jeans, lift her grandkids without difficulty, and vacuum behind the couch without getting help to move it. CrossFit is for everyone. It is a competitive and supportive environment in which to learn new skills, set new personal records and create a significant stimulus for change in your body.
CrossFit is for you. The workouts are constantly varied so you don’t have to worry about getting bored with the typical circuits and three day splits. The actual “workouts” are rarely more than forty minutes so you can get in, work hard, and get out. Trainers are participants at Xplore CrossFit are welcoming, encouraging, and wholly committed to creating an environment where everyone will see results.
What do we actually do?
During each class, led by a certified trainer, there will be an activity specific warm up, skills practice and the workout of the day (WOD). The workout is the same for everyone but it is scaled up or down based on strength, skills, endurance and physical limitation. If you can’t do a pull up, then an assisted, or modified form will be used to meet your needs. Class length varies and is dependent on the number of attendants and how hard you are willing to work. The workouts change everyday so your body is constantly being forced to adapt.
